This was once again an excellent day out for the Harriers, thanks to the organisational skills of Roy Gooderson. Since the weather was warm but not too hot there were several personal bests recorded. Fifteen year olds Jack Parnell and James Branwood both ran PBs in the 5K. In the main 10K event, Jonathan Holmans smashed his PB and the next two Harrier finishers, Richard Steer (who was running his first individual race for almost 18 months due to injury) and Roy Palmer, also ran their best times for the distance. The first female for the club was Emma Hodges in a personal best time by two minutes, despite running into a door on the way to Le Touquet! In the 20K event, Nick Justicz had a very good run, the warm conditions not being entirely suitable for a race of that distance.
Due to the official results containing numerous mistakes and omissions (not one of the Canterbury Harriers was listed in the results) all the following times are approximate. Regrettably, the gaps in the results also meant that Jack missed out on a prize in the 5K as did Jonathan in the 1OK.
