JOIN US FOR THE RETURN OF THIS TRULY UNIQUE EVENT IN THE KENT RACE CALENDAR The Howletts 5k Run is a truly unique event which will give participants the opportunity to run through 90 acres of parkland filled with some of the world's finest wildlife. Taking place before the park officially opens to the public, the event offers you exclusive access to the animals as you weave your way past over 45 species, including Kent’s only giant anteaters and more gorillas, leopards and monkeys than any zoo in the county. Included in each entry fee is free entry into the park - and with discounted tickets available for families, why not bring the family down for a day amongst wildlife? By entering the Howletts 5k, you will help to raise funds for The Aspinall Foundation, supporting their vital conservation work and saving wildlife from extinction. Over the past few years alone, the charity has bred and released hundreds of animals back to their natural habitats. In Congo, Gabon, Java and Madagascar, the Foundation is delivering innovative programmes to release animals “Back to the Wild” from both their partner parks in the UK, as well as rescuing wildlife from the illegal pet trade and those orphaned from poaching. They also work closely with local communities to protect habitats and endangered species and deliver education programmes for local children.
