We are delighted to announce that the Chelmsford Marathon & Half returns for an 9th year in 2023 even bigger and better! This has always been a major fundraising event for Havens Hospices and your entry will be helping to provide palliative nursing and supportive care to adults, young people and children living with complex or incurable conditions across Essex. This is one of the biggest events in the Essex race calendar and is expected to attract over 1,500 participants, an early entry is advised. The Chelmsford Marathon is a 26.2 mile single lap course on road and tarmac paths starting and finishing in Central Park. A scenic rural route which heads out through the city and then undulates through the nearby countryside and pretty villages of north Essex. The race has a stunning finish line, down an avenue of autumn trees in Central Park. The race draws a large crowd, with many supporters and friendly marshals on the route to cheer you on. The race is rated highly among runners and comes highly recommended – It’s definitely one to add to your 2023 race diaries. Entry fee includes: Bespoke medal Technical runner t-shirt Aid stations on route Chip timing Finish line goodies Trophies for winners and leading age categories Great atmosphere and spectator viewing at the finish Race pacers
