Race summary As well as the large contingent in London, we had another marathoner on the same day but in a different country. Nicolas Pirot had a fine debut in his native France in warm conditions. Nicolas writes: The race is made up of three loops one, of 10k and two of 16k . The course is slightly undulating and alternates between the windy sea shore, the city centre and the forest. The marathon is difficult in that you run on your own most of the time with the wind against you, and the spectators are very few. And if you do not suffer from a sun stroke after 30k like I did on the d-day, then I recommend the race for its very nice views and the relaxing massage at the end of the race.
