Deal Tri are pleased to announce the Deal Half Marathon as it returns again in 2022 to the Kent running calendar around the quiet rural roads through the villages of Betteshangar, Sutton, Ripple, Langdon and Martin Mill. Using an accurately measured course the challenging route takes in the scenic Kent countryside surrounding Deal. There will be water stations located at 3, 7 and 10 miles. The race headquarters are based at Betteshanger Country Park and there are toilets and limited showering facilities available in the Visitor Centre. Additional toilet facilities will be available at the registration and close to the start and finish area. You are also able to leave any jackets or jumpers at the start/finish however it is not to be used for luggage and will not be monitored all the time. There is ample parking available at Betteshanger Country Park and you are advised to leave all belongings in your car. Please note there is a small charge for use of the car park and gives you a full days parking. Please do not park on the grass on the roundabout on the A258 as this is not a parking area and inhibits the view of the motorists and supporters crossing the road. The Visitor Centre at Betteshanger will also have their café open and will be selling hot and cold drinks plus food. £50 CASH FIRST MALE AND FEMALE PodPlus vouchers 2nd and 3rd places. Age group winners, male and female. Free entries for next year for Team Prizes Chip Timing, Medals to all finishers All race numbers are to be collected on the morning of the race so you are advised to give yourself enough time to collect your race number and get to the start on time. Please note that due to the race taking place on open roads, headphones are banned for the event. Anyone seen wearing headphones during the race will be disqualified. The race has a cut off time of 2:50 and you must pass through halfway in 1:25.
