Event Details

The Switchback 5 is a friendly 5-mile trail race organised by Striders of Croydon.

Open to runners of all abilities, from speedsters to walkers. Come & join us appreciating the scenic Croydon trails in a welcoming & supportive race atmosphere.

The route is marked & marshaled with a 1-hour 40-minute cut-off so is also suitable for walkers.

All finishers receive a memento & are welcome to join us for refreshments at our Sandilands clubhouse after the race.

The start & finish of the race is in Lloyd Park, a few of minutes jog from the Race HQ (an ideal warm up!).

Lloyd Park and Sandilands are on the Croydon Tramlink network, a couple of stops from East Croydon mainline station.

The start and finish in Lloyd Park & the viewing platform in Addington Hills are good places to spectate.

There are toilet & changing facilities at the Race HQ & a bag drop that will be marshaled at all times. Bags are left at the owner’s own risk & Striders of Croydon take no responsibility for any items left in bags.

Race numbers will not be posted and can be collected at Race HQ from 8am.
