The Tunbridge Wells Half started in 1983 as a response to the interest in distance running started by the first London marathon.  Since then it has grown to be a staple of the South East's running calendar attracting runners of all abilities to the scenic, but challenging course.  A good staging post if you are training for a spring marathon, but also a great race in its own right.  Organised by the local running club, the Tunbridge Wells Harriers, the race includes a large HQ, pacers, water stations, toilet stations on the course, chip timing, fruit and Jaffa cakes, a bespoke medal and an optional technical t-shirt, including a 'fitted' choice.   This year will also see the QUIET ZONE return for runners who might otherwise be put off attending a large and busy event.

In addition, we are focussing further innovations designed to increase the number of female participants in our popular event, one of the largest hosted by a the membership of the running club.
