The Epsom Oddballs 2000 Perch is a multi-terrain 10km race held on Epsom Downs, bringing back a historic local event and offering runners the chance to race across one of Surrey’s most iconic landscapes. The course incorporates a mix of paths, grass and firm trail surfaces, with the undulating terrain typical of the Downs providing a rewarding and varied challenge.
The race welcomes a diverse field of recreational runners, club competitors and higher-performance athletes. The event is open to runners aged 17 years and over in accordance with UK Athletics rules for 10km competition. Participants are advised to wear appropriate footwear suitable for mixed terrain.
The race will operate with clearly marked course signage, trained marshals at key junctions and crossing points, designated start and finish areas, first aid cover at the event hub, and a pre-event runner briefing including safety instructions.
Awards will be presented to the first three male and first three female finishers, as well as the first male and female runners in the 40+, 50+ and 60+ age categories.
The event is organised by an affiliated running club with experienced race organisers and volunteer teams. The aim is to deliver a safe, well-managed and enjoyable race experience while re-establishing a much-loved fixture in the local running calendar.
