Nocturne is a festival of racing in the heart of the City of London. Racers of all ages and abilities compete through the day and into the night on a spectacular inner-city circuit, set against a street party backdrop of live music, food stalls and entertainment.

 The Nocturne Mile Challenge is a new racing concept bringing the iconic mile running format to the Square Mile City streets. This is a unique opportunity to hunt for PBs on closed roads in front of thousands of spectators. 

 

Unique Race Circuit

Closed road route through iconic central London Sqaure Mile.

Runners start at the Bank of England following the circuit past Royal Exchange, through Bank Junction and along the finish straight on Queen Victoria Street. As you pass under the finish gantry it will signal one lap to go. The route then heads past Cheapside, along Gresham Street and back round through Bank with the world famous city skyline as the backdrop.

 

Athlete Village

The athlete village will be located in Guildhall Yard where refreshments will be available from some of our partners.

 

Schedule

Races will be hosted in the afternoon for club runners and evening for elite runners.

Athletes will be seeded into race waves based on your personal best times.

Entry to the elite race is restricted to men who have run 4.30 and women who have run 5.10 for the mile on track or road.

19:30: Mile Challenge (Elite Race)

£2,000 Prize Pot split between two runners

The £2,000 prize fund will be split between the men's and women's winner of the elite races.
