Event Summary –

This is a one-day event with four races, aiming to provide for an inclusive and broad age range.

Race HQ, and centre of the event, is Slinfold Cricket Club.

Race times during the event -

• 5 to 7 yrs.  Start time 10:00am.  (1 lap of the Cricket pitch).

• 8 to 11 yrs.  Start time 10:15am. (1 mile/1.6km).

• 5k.  Adult Race – 12+.  Start time 10:40am.

• 10k.  Adult Race – 16+.  Start time 11:15am.

The event took place in September 2024 and 2025.  The 2026 event follows the same structure.

Race Head Quarters is based at Slinfold Cricket Club.

·       Junior 300m race (5 to 7 y/o) begins at 10am on the cricket field.

·       The Junior 1 mile race (8 to 11 y/o) begins at 10:10am from Clapgate Lane.  Runners head up the lane before turning right towards the river.  At the point where the footpath reaches the river bank, runners turn right along the footpath towards Wicket Gardens and the cricket club.

·       The 5-kilometer race (12+ y/o) and 10-kilometer race (16+ y/o) both begin with a MASS START at 11am from Clapgate Lane.  Runners head up the lane followed before heading out on trails to the Northeast of the village, including Nowhurst Lane and Wicket Gardens.  (2 laps of this section for the 10k course.)

Runners finish back at the Cricket Club.

All four races use Chip Timing, provided by KronoSport.

Two sets of warm up exercises, led by a local coach, take place before the Junior races and before the 5k + 10k Mass Start.
