Despite an earlier than usual start of 9am on a chilly but sunny day, there were 35 Harriers who finished the third KFL race at Knole Park on 30th November. Unfortunately for the club’s women’s team, Sevenoaks AC made home advantage count to take a narrow victory by seven points over the Harriers, with Petts Wood Runners being a further eight points behind in third. So the winning streak of six races (four from last season, two from this) came to an end. Lucie Parker was lead runner for the club, coming fifth and being the club’s V35 scorer, with Faye Roberts three places further back. The other scorers were Sarah Newman (14th), Nicky Leatherbarrow (27th and V55 scorer) and Barbara Grogan (32nd and V45 scorer).

The top ten female teams at Knole Park were:

The men were led home for the third time this season by Kelvin Thursby (V40) in 11th, closely followed by Michael Farbrace just two seconds behind. Those two were supported by Richard Magro (20th), Ben Parmar (33rd), Roddy McLachlan (42nd; 2nd V40 scorer), Fiouse Corbeil (166th; 1st V50 scorer), Phil Deery (169th; 2nd V50 scorer) and Colin Kent (202nd; V60). Additionally, Peter Whall, Steve Couzens and Paul Pollard finished ahead of the club’s last scorer but did not score due to the age category requirements. That led to the men’s team finishing ninth, just four points behind Dartford Harriers and nine points behind Bromley Vets AC, with the top ten teams being:
