You are currently viewing Another Good Result for the Harrier Women at Oxleas Wood

The club’s women’s team had another good result in the Kent Fitness League race at Oxleas Wood on 20th November, coming second again but this time behind Petts Wood Runners and ahead of Sevenoaks AC. This leaves them two points behind Sevenoaks in second place in the league standings, tied with Petts Wood on points but ahead on tiebreak. The women were led home by Emily Collins, who was fourth woman and continuing her fine form in the league. Joanne Norrington was our FV35 scorer with Barbara Wenman (FV55) and Deb Parris (FV45) taking the other scoring slots.

The club were sixth again in both the combined and men’s team races with the men being led home by Yiannis Christodoulou who was 12th in the race. Our other male scorers were Roddy McLachlan, Matt Slark, Henry Cox, Fiouse Corbeil, Greg Norman, Paul Thompson and Mark Wenman were our other male scorers. Ben Parmar and Jon Solley were both ahead of some of our scoring runners but unfortunately did not score due to the age requirements of the team scorers. After three races the club stands sixth in both the combined and men’s team competitions.

Whilst skies were clear for the race at Oxleas Wood the runners had to contend with very wet underfoot conditions due to recent heavy rain.
