Whitstable 10K 2013 Race Report

Over 600 runners competed in the 14th staging of the Baileys Nissan Whitstable 10K road race organised by Canterbury Harriers on Monday May Bank Holiday morning. In sunny and warm conditions, with only light winds along the Tankerton and Hampton promenade sections, 29 athletes dipped under 40 minutes.

Marathons have a mystery to them. Almost like quantum Mechanics, it seems that strange unpredictable things can happen, despite 16 weeks and 600 miles of training.

Cross Country Presentation Evening

With winter a distant memory the exploits in the mud and cold of the last cross country season were celebrated in style at the club’s presentation evening held on 21st April.

Whitstable 10K Update

Dave Lee is delighted with the £900 cheque for his children’s charity, now only about £30K short of £2million donated, which is used to send sick and underprivileged children on holiday.
